Manticore Mission

Is this still bugged? I had something weird happen where I had to save and exit because I couldn't do anything with my character. I was running around and it just stopped. So I saved and reloaded and I could move again. I hear that if you do that, the manticore never returns. Is that true? I can't find him and I'm just plowing through reinforcement dudes at this point.

Not bugged. Dude was hanging out in the NW corner of the map. When I gain visibility on him, he started flying around again murdering things.
