Stance animations

Postby hroch » 14 December 2015, 19:38

Wow, 72 new combat animations in upcoming patch. Good work animators!

Your amazing efectivity leads me to the idea if it would be possible to have animation for stances. For example:
  • Overwatching model would be pointiwn to all direction with his shooting weapon(s)
  • Dodging model would be "dancing" like MMA fighter (reasonably!)
  • Parrying model would be angling weapon / shield in expectation of attack
  • Web of steel model would be swinging weapon to all directions
  • Models affected by stupidity (actually not a stance, i know) could stare at sky, or chew own fingers (tails?)
  • ...and so on.
It would be great to play game without any hud and visual "helps".

That would be awesome. I agree.

I think it'd be fine to not have separate poses for web of steel and side step though; just use the same as parry and dodge respectively. Same with prowl and onslaught just using ambush.

I do not want to be a party pooper but I would also like the option to turn stance animation off, as they get tiresome in the long run :)
