How do I cull wounded?

I don't want to wait for my warband members to get sick and die before I fire them. How do I get rid of them without having to pay their treatment/salary or waiting for them to die?

Also, i understand that if you don't pay somebodies salary and they walk they take your equipment, which makes sense, but what if I just want to fire somebody without paying them and I don't want to wait 7 days for them to quit?

You can't fire them without paying them. You hired them to do a job, you have to pay them.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why I have the option to let them sit there untreated until they die but can't get rid of them until after they croaked. That doesn't make any sense to me.

Also, if they are going to walk in 7 days anyway, why do i have to wait 7 days to fire them?

You hired them to do a job. They got injured while doing the job. It is your duty to pay for their treatment as they got injured doing something for you.

Just pay for their treatment and fire them. It doesn't cost much.
