Post #9 - Warband Details & Release Date!

Postby Drildgen » 21 October 2016, 15:06

At last! The wait is almost over! We are incredibly excited to announce that you will be able to play the Undead Warband on PC next Tuesday October 25th! The console version will be coming in the next few weeks. This means that today marks the very last Friday before the Undeads are unleashed in Mordheim: City of the Damned. Here is more detailed information about the Undead Warband so you can plan the creation of your warband over the weekend!

On the borders of the Empire, beneath the World's Edge Mountains lies the forsaken county of Sylvania. Long a place of mystery and sinister doings, Sylvania descended into horror during the Black Plague when the necromancer Vanhel raised legions of the dead. Since that time, Sylvania has been a haunted land steeped in the darkest magic. From the ancient castle of Drakenhof, Count Vlad von Carstein rules the county, but his ambition drives him to seek greater power. With the Empire consumed by civil strife, Vlad sees opportunity. The warbands he sends into Mordheim, the wyrdstone they gather for him, are but the first steps in the war the vampire lord will soon wage on his mortal neighbours.

Alignment

The forces of Destruction are filled with those for whom aggression, depravity, and greed are a way of life. They would plunge the world into darkness for that which they seek above all else: power. The factions of Destruction rarely work together, allying only briefly and solely out of a common hatred for the forces of Order.

The warband looks great! I'm particularly interested in seeing the effects of all this Fear on opposing warbands. If nothing else I'd expect Leadership increases to become more of a priority for enemy warbands.

One question: Will there be an additional Hired Sword forthcoming fitting the character of the Undead? As it stands all but the Smuggler (who, with a bit of imagination, could be seen as a glorifed Dreg) seem to be ill fits for the tone of the Undead warband.

Will be interesting to see how the play balance wise. Witch Hunters should be OK against them, but I really wonder about Mercs, Sisters, Rats, and even Chaos with all the fear terror stuff.

Find the breach (Passive):

Wouldn't that be 'Hold the breach'?

Find the breach would be if you are finding a vulnerability in your opponent and reduces their Armor absorb.

That's exactly what it is... it bypasses armor absorption by +5%
