Skaven Builds for All Units and Build Ordering

Hey everybody, I am currently doing a Letsplay Series on Youtube and my recent episodes (SKaven Episode 3(B)(C)) covers builds for all the Skaven Units and also explains how I created these builds. I have not enough space in the description under the videos so I am linking my Youtubers to this thread I'm posting here. Here is the link to the gamepedia page that I used to create these builds. Go to the Warbands section and click on the names of individual units to see their base stats, the chart with their stat growth, and I have listed below as a part of my builds, the total number of points each Skaven Unit gets so you can go make your own builds, since my builds are geared towards what I personally want to do with each of my units. Hopefully I didn't make any mistakes while counting those stat points... it was an eyesore.

Since I am currently doing only the Skaven warband as a part of my first lets play I will only be including the stats and builds that will consider using for the Skaven here. I may do the same for each faction later as I play them, but to do all the units of all the factions all at once would be too overwhelming.

Level 1 skills: Shield Specialist, Anticipation, Hit and Run (Demoralize/Quick Incision are some solid choices to replace Hit and Run), Awareness, Avoid (I would replace awareness and avoid with Knowledge Ambush and Vigilance if you want to be able to walk into ambushes and get the ambusher out into the open without getting hit; if not, I would prioritize Awareness first and then Avoid), Defensive Stance (or Sidestep/Web of Steel depending on if you went flash parry or avoid), Insult, Kidney Strke, Guidance (taunt and threaten are good if you are going to PvP a lot, but worthless for PvE campaigns).

6 Strength, 4 Toughness, 15 Agility, 6 Leadership, 4 Intelligence, 14 Alertness (this really helps as a scout, to go first and to be able to pass Perception checks to give you X-Ray vision to spot traps and enemies through walls), 14 Weapon Skill, 3 Ballistic Skill, 8 Accuracy

These guys are basically your bread and butter units of your Skaven army and they are definitely very survivable.
Now it's important to note that they do have a lot of impact on your army since there are likely more than 1 on your team, and in fact I recommend at least 3 of these on your team.
Since you're also running 3 of these, they don't have to have all the exact same skills. I would keep them mostly the same with maybe 1 or 2 variations such as one might have Quick Incision, another might have Demoralize, etc.
The "Freak the Mighty" build is a reference to a book entitled the same. The idea of this build is to have 1 of your warpguards be constantly babysitting your Impressive, the Rat Ogre by learning highly tanky and survivable skills along with Guidance, to then give your Eshin Sorcerer complete freedom to do more important things.
Armor Proficient is a skill that I highly recommend, but I know most people might not care about mobility. For me mobility is highly important because it gives you better charge and ambush range since your movement range determines those stats, so there are alternatives that I think are equally valid.
The Swiss Army Knife build is really meant to make your Warpguard not just a tanky dude, but also able to debuff the enemy units so that they become easier to hit and take out. Think of your Warpguards as the tip of the spear, the front of the charge, and they are there to be strong and hold the line while breaking down the enemy.

Both builds are absolute beasts in my opinion as it should be since the Leader should be the strongest unit in your warband. The Solo Duelist Commando's job is to try to avoid the enemy team and sneak into their wagon and steal their Idol, and being strong enough to fight his way back to the main army if need be but most likely be able to outrun anything. The War Leader is focused around being in the middle of the army where the fight is the thickest and giving all the friendly Skaven huge advantages.

2 Strength 3 Toughness 15 Agility 6 Leadership 18 Intelligence 15 Alertness 12 Weapon Skill 5 Ballistic Skill 8 Accuracy (In this case you want to equip a staff since you're focusing so much on spell casting.)

Well... that's just sad for me... lol. Thanks for letting me know, I will modify the Henchmen builds with this new information in mind. Thank you! Although, do you have proof or could point me to a resource with this info?

It will take me some time to modify the builds as I also have to do episode 3C where I go over Eshin Sorceror and Rat Ogre, so yeah. But it will happen :)

I think lad's got talent explains that learning it allows access to masteries for the henchmen but i don't have access to the pc at the moment to confirm it.

Edit: Yeah the first tier states that it allows access to skill masteries.

How much experience PvP do you have with your builds because while I cannot fault the basics I'm seriously dubious to some of your choices though I cannot fault your being entirely original in your style. I love verminkin control build skirmishers and I am seriously concerned about how many daredevil builds your looking at, I cannot see how you can possibly effectively support this in terms of focused debuffing.

Your Sorcerer builds are not something I'd considered, though again I'm again highly doubtful of how effective in a PvP environment. I can see what your up too and I imagine its effective I'm just not sure he's protected enough for his cost investment. Now you've also not covered any Sorcerer Leaders which are the ultimate in support builds. Anyway well done for being original and I hope to see you on the battlefield at some point.

I'd love to get more PvP experience in this game, and you are correct, these builds are for PvE and are primarily what I'm going to be using for my let'splay series for skaven to do the campaign missions. As for PvP, is there even PvP in this game at this point?! Every single time I log on to PvP and wait in the Skirmish mode with a game up it takes over 2 hours to get someone interested in playing me. I'd say that it would be fair to say this game isn't a PvP game until they fix all the issues in this game, especially the LOADING TIME, holy christmas...

Yes, I think it would be fun to test out builds in Skirmish mode, if you'd like we can set up a time to do it :)
