Mordheim: City of the Damned Character Planner Quick Summary
============================================================

Unit profile: Black Skaven

Attributes:
===========
Strength: 17
Toughness: 9
Agility: 7
Leadership: 12
Intelligence: 3
Alertness: 12
Weapon Skill: 13
Ballistic Skill: 3
Accuracy: 12

Skills:
=======
Perfect Killer Basic, Strong Blow Basic, Mighty Charge Mastery, Daredevil Mastery, Black Hunger Mastery, Combat Focus Mastery, Bull Charge Basic, Strider Basic, Assault Basic

Books:
==========
Book of Training: Strength, Tome of Abilities, Physical Grimore

My first Black Skaven is headed for this build. He doesn't take damage very well and he hurts himself in battle but successfully keep him from being actively attacked and he cuts through enemies like a knife through butter. =D
I have something very similar, but I have some questions regarding Combat Focus and Assault:
- Combat Focus: You have only 9 OPS and I expect you're using an halberd, thus your attacks I assume look like this -> Daredevil (3OP) + Black Hunger/ Mighty Charge or Strong Blow if engaged (3OP for both)/ 2nd attack (3OP, due to tiring). Thus, you've used your 9OPs and cannot use Combat focus. Are you sacrificing your second attack for this? I personnally load my Black Skaven with mad cap mushrooms, for the same effect than basic combat focus, I found it cheaper on the skill cost.
- Assault: Is crit really so important with such a build. I find myself more reliant on hit, therefore I took Swarm here, as I prefer to engage my glass canon when another unit has soaked up the counter-attacks already. Also, Swarm gives crit as well, and not only on charges.

But all in all, this is a pretty good damage dealing build. I've had missions where this unit "made the coffee" ( or so we say in French), and was responsible for the quick death of many leaders, heroes or impressives. :)

I am yeah, though if for what ever reason i already have enough hit rate i can hit twice and i tend to watch for it when i'm attacking. I'm running a dagger or spear w/e for initiative and a shield for melee resist, i switch to Halberd when i'm attacking. I think he's wearing Light armour but it only really matters if he gets hit so maybe he would be better focusing on initiative. Swarm would be good as he often attacks engaged targets but i'm not sure if it works on charges or not, if it does then yeah that would be preferable. My black skaven is rank 9 and hasn't unlocked quite everything yet. If the enemy is going to survive (like the rare occassion it whiffs) and i didn't use both switch weapon and combat focus that turn i'll need to disengage so that second attack won't be used anyway. I know that means there will be more times where they survive because they had just a little more health but on the bright side if i meet a high melee resist opponent i can summon an extra 20% hit rate on strong blow.

Mordheim: City of the Damned Character Planner Quick Summary
============================================================

Unit profile: Warpguard

Attributes:
===========
Strength: 9
Toughness: 6
Agility: 13
Leadership: 10
Intelligence: 9
Alertness: 3
Weapon Skill: 4
Ballistic Skill: 12
Accuracy: 12

Skills:
=======
Warp Immunity Basic, Armour Proficient Basic, Knowledge: Mordheim Basic, Bullseye Basic, Athletic Expert Basic, Wall Runner Basic, Strong Blow Basic, Black Hunger Basic, Quick Reload Basic

Books:
==========
Book of Training: Ballistic Skill, Tome of Abilities, Martial Grimore

Equipment:
==========
Helmet, Heavy Armour, Shiruken, Mace, Mace

This is a late game hybrid. Make up for the lack of weaponskill by adding a ton of hit rate through dual maces and mix stat boosts into hit rate str and acc maybe dodge bypass. The build is designed to use aim and then overwatch to slow incoming enemies. Quick reload for when you absolutely must have a second aim. Heavy armour because defensives stats are bad, knowledge mordheim, armour proficient, wall runner and althletic expert to maintain mobility. Strong blow for weapon switch turn or for attack and disengage. Black hunger for extra melee damage and bypass.

Not sure how competitive it will be but it should be able to do an ok job for both forms of combat i think. Ranged resistance isn't a big deal at the moment so ranged accuracy should be fine.

It might be better to run light armour instead of the movement modifiers in favour of deep wound and something else.

I have terrible luck with my verminkin, they all seem to die while by Warpguard go through the motions pretty much untouched in comparison. I've been doing dodge builds but i was playing around with the planner and i had an idea for a build like this.

Mordheim: City of the Damned Character Planner Quick Summary
============================================================

Unit profile: Verminkin

Attributes:
===========
Strength: 9
Toughness: 6
Agility: 11
Leadership: 12
Intelligence: 6
Alertness: 6
Weapon Skill: 16
Ballistic Skill: 3
Accuracy: 9

Skills:
=======
Black Hunger Basic, Swarm Basic, Weak Spot Basic, Demoralize Basic, Staggering Blow Basic, Ready Stance Basic, Shield Specialist Basic, Intimidate Basic

Books:
==========
Tome of Abilities, Book of Training: Weapon Skill, Martial Grimore

Equipment:
==========
Helmet, Light Armour, Spear, Shield

Turn 1 verminkin finds a target who already moved, beat down their initiative and demoralize them. Hopefully get another unit engaged if not already. Get another turn before them, beat them down some more and then intimidate. Hopefully by the time the enemy gets a turn you will have got enough bodies on him he will be dead or he will fail his all alone check/flee so defense won't matter.

This verminkin build could work well with it too.

Mordheim: City of the Damned Character Planner Quick Summary
============================================================

Unit profile: Verminkin

Attributes:
===========
Strength: 9
Toughness: 8
Agility: 9
Leadership: 12

Alertness: 4
Weapon Skill: 10
Ballistic Skill: 3
Accuracy: 15

Skills:

Daredevil Basic, Black Hunger Basic, Frenzy Basic, Swarm Basic, Demoralize Basic, Weak Spot Basic, Nerves of Steel Basic, Strong Blow Basic

Books:
==========
Tome of Abilities, Martial Grimore, Book of Training: Accuracy

Equipment:

Assassin Adept:

Strength: 5
Toughness: 2
Agility: 18

Leadership: 15
Intelligence: 13
Alertness: 8

Weapon skill: 18 (use a book of training and martial grimoire here)
Ballistic skill: 4
Accuracy: 15

Skills:

Mastered Fatality
Mastered Sidestep
Mastered Avoid
Mastered Weak spot
Mastered Force of will
Use a tome of abilities to get precise strike

Equipment:

Sword, cloth, shield, helmet

What's good about the build?

For defence, you get 130% dodge with mastered sidestep before enchantments, and a melee resist at 51%. With the helmet you are also almost immune to being stunned with 91%, which helps you to stay on your paws in PvP.

For offence, you bypass 20% of dodge/parry or 45% with precise strike (first attack only), aiming to cause as many critical hits as you can with a frequency of 24% +10% from fatality.

The abilities are geared towards crit enchantments, and the mark of assassins (+2 weapon skill and agility) which gets both of these stats to their maximum. Melee resist on the shield, and dodge or something else you find useful on the helmet.

Overall, this assassin has some staying power and with 80% on leadership tests is one of the few that can hold out against two foes if need be while you get advantages elsewhere.
