Need Help with mission 2.2 (may contain spoilers in thread)

Yeah, as the title says. I'm on mission 2.2, I've achieved all objectives except kill the Merga. I was under the impression that when I smashed a blessed shard I would be able to hurt her, but she is still protected and immune to damage. She's decimated my High level troops, and I'm all out of idea on how to hurt her. Perhaps some people enjoy figuring this out on there own, but for me the dread of the out of action rolls, and the frustration of having no clue how to play this situation isn't increasing my gaming experience, so If someone can fill me in on what I've missed that would be good. I'm assuming I've missed something and this isn't a bug.

Merga has 80% armour absorption PLUS 8% for each of the 8 monoliths that hasn't been blessed by your Sigmarite allies. You need to do at least 6 monoliths before she'll have less than 100% absorption and be able to be hurt (outside of criticals which seem to ignore armor absorption?).

My tips... get cracking on the monoliths asap. Figure out the one that you need to do first. It's close to one of the prison wagons. Free that sister first and get her to a shard. You need to do them in a clockwise order so just get her running the ring grabbing nearby shards as she goes. Free the other one and get her to help. Keep your guys nearby to ensure that nobody can engage either of the sisters. They can't afford the delay and if they go down you lose.

Other than that, work on killing the enemies as fast as you can. Get someone who can tank to engage Merga to keep her honest and make sure she doesn't pick of vulnerable warriors or sisters.

You really need to crit Merga to get her down. Even after 6 monoliths you're still going to be looking at paltry damage on her. If you got crit specialists, use them, especially ranged ones who can hammer away at her while you're tanking.

The only difficulty I had with this mission, which caused me to fail my first attempt, was keeping the sisters alive (they're pretty weak). Make sure you protect them. Merga is tough, but she isn't so dangerous that she will just rip everyone who engages her apart. Keep her busy while you quickly get on with business.

I did the Mission yesterday. Spoiler on:

Here are some Points I woult add.
The main Problem was to get the Team together. You start splitted in striketeams and the Battlegound is a round Arena surrounded with Buildings. You start outside the first row of Buildings, but there are many gabs where the enemy can see your men and will get after you when you pass. Get aound with everyone asap. Met at the top in the North. There is the first Monolith and the first sister.

My Wizard and the weakest Maksman spawned at the bottom. On the way around they pulled two enemys and my Wizard had lots of bad luck. He went down. That was realy bad, because he's the best weapon against Merga. Lightningstrike bypasses Armourabsorbtion and curse of rust is a killer, when all your men hammer down on one foe with high armourabsorb. So potect your Wizzard in this Mission! Without him it took me 2 rounds to get Merga down (so she hab 3 actions). With him it would have been a round less.

For every prison there is a Jailer who has a key. If you don't get closer to the middle then Merga will stay there in Dogestance. You can pull her when you have switched all the Monos off. there are more shards than you need for the Mission, so you are not forced to klimb every Building to switch all the Monos off.

Powergamer pay atention: Normaly you kill her as the last Action of the Mission. I did it that way. But than you are not able to loot her. Maybe you can leave the Artefact in the Wagon and collect it when Merga is dead. That way you should be able to loot her. But I don't know if she has any loot at all.

Your wizard has 100% curse chance casting spells due to the chaotic energies.
This might have caused the 'bad luck' you were talking about.

Ok, haven't noticed that. But I would go for the curse of rust on Merga.

That was not the only bad luck I had. two shoots with 85% hitchance on the Killer missed also... :evil:
